Why a Couple Should Have Light Moments of Dance and Games

Image
A couple should absolutely have light moments of games and dance—and here’s why: 1. It Builds Connection Games and dance get you laughing, moving, and reacting together in real time. That breaks the routine and pulls you out of “life admin mode” into us mode . It’s playful bonding that strengthens emotional intimacy. 2. It Reduces Stress Marriage can involve heavy conversations, responsibilities, and pressures. A silly game or a spontaneous dance break is like an emotional reset button. You breathe easier, laugh off tension, and remember that life together doesn’t always have to be so serious. 3. It Sparks Joy and Chemistry Fun moments release feel-good hormones like dopamine and oxytocin—the same stuff that fueled your attraction in the early days. That quick dance in the kitchen or goofy charades night? It keeps the spark alive without needing a fancy date. 4. It Creates Shared Memories You probably won’t remember every dinner or Netflix night, but you will remember the time...

OUR SUNDAY FAMILY ROUTINE | What enhances our LOVE LIFE

Image
Sunday Routines That Nourish Love & Family Sundays in our home are sacred—not because of liturgical hours, but because they’re our rhythm of love, presence, and renewal. We call it our Sunday Family Routine —a gentle weave of worship, connection, and fun that nurtures not just our marriage but our whole family. A Morning That Speaks Love We begin the day slowly—no alarms, just birdsong and steaming cups of chai. Breakfast is a joint effort: someone cracks eggs, another toasts bread, the little one sets the table. In those kitchen moments we laugh, tease, and remind each other why we’re in this life together. Then comes family worship—scripture, prayers, and hymn singing. Our voices rise not because we’re backed by wires and speakers, but because in that space, presence matters more than polish. Couple Time That Ignites the Flame After worship, the adults steal away—a few minutes just to reconnect. Sometimes it’s sitting on the porch holding hands, other times it's a coupl...

The Kenyan Wedding Reception      In Kenya, like the rest of the world, a wedding presents an opportunity for the family and friends to assemble and catch up with each other. In fact, most Africans find time to meet each other during weddings and funerals. Family members who have been long lost in the city find an opportunity to meet each other.      Other than the initial ceremony that entails taking the oath of vows, the reception is another important session that all participants sing, dance and ululate. This video shows a wedding reception with a musical band playing live. Most of the songs are cultural in nature. For instance, the groom is a LUO. Most of the gospel songs sang are LUO songs that are accompanied with serious clapping of hands. This type of singing is known in Luo as 'Masira'. Other than clapping, you facial expression should be 'serious'. No laughter.      The newly wed and all participants forget about order and join...

HOW TO OVERCOME WEAKNESSES -Motivation time

Image
Mephibosheth was lame and lived in a deplorable place; however, when king David showed mercy to him, everything changed. At the palace dinner table, nobody could see his lameness. Everything was covered up. That's what God does for us when we accept to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.      E veryone has a kind of lameness but depends on how we use it. There is always a seed of greatness in everybody despite the lameness in us. We should arise and look up unto the Lord who strengthens us. Watch and be blessed with the message on the video.
