  • Like a scripture that hits your soul just right when you needed it most.

  • Like mercy waking you up, even when you felt undeserving.

God’s goodness is not a promise of perfect days. It’s His heart — always leaning toward us, even when we’re distant, distracted, or broken.

Relatable Truth: We Don’t Always See It, But We Always Need It

Think of the prodigal son in Luke 15. He took everything from his father and squandered it. Yet, while he was still a long way off, the father ran to meet him. He didn’t wait for an apology. He didn’t demand repayment. He embraced him with compassion.

That’s what God’s goodness looks like — a love that runs after us, covers our shame, and throws a celebration when we turn back.

Even when we mess up, drift away, or feel numb spiritually, God’s goodness isn’t cancelled. It’s constant, waiting to be noticed and received.

Personal Reflection: I’ve Seen His Goodness in My Pain

There was a season I thought I had it all figured out — ministry, relationships, direction. But then came loss. Plans collapsed. People left. Confidence faded.

And honestly, I was angry with God.

But He didn’t walk away. He walked with me. Through the quiet. Through the tears. Through the rebuilding.

Looking back, I realize I encountered a side of His goodness that success never taught me — the gentle goodness that picks you up when life knocks you down. The kind that whispers, “You’re still mine.”

Encouragement for You: Don’t Give Up on His Goodness

Friend, maybe you’re in a season where you can’t feel God. Maybe you’re waiting for an answer, a job, a child, a miracle — and all you hear is silence.

Let me remind you:

“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life…” – Psalm 23:6 (NIV)

God’s goodness is not seasonal. It’s not conditional. It’s not based on your performance. It’s His nature.

Even in delays, disappointments, and detours, His goodness is still writing your story.

  • Pause every day to reflect — Where did God show up today?

  • Write down answered prayers and little mercies. They remind you when doubt comes.

  • Talk to Him honestly — God isn’t threatened by your questions.

  • Serve others — Sometimes, seeing His goodness in others reminds you of His faithfulness in you.
